MDA Treats 10 Injured In Karkur Junction Car Ramming

After a car plowed into pedestrians at Karkur Junction, Magen David Adom immediately dispatched MICUs, ambulances, and Medicycles to the scene where they provided medical treatment to 10 injured people, before transporting them to Hillel Yafe Medical Center.

MDA Blood Services provided 55 units of blood and blood components to the hospital. The vehicle responsible for the attack was stopped by security forces.

Those injured by the car ramming include a 17-year-old girl critically injured with head and limb wounds. She was sedated and ventilated by MDA teams. Two others were in serious condition including a 60-year-old man with head and limb injuries who was sedated and ventilated, as well as a conscious 19-year-old young woman with head injuries. A fully conscious 18-year-old young woman in moderate condition suffered limb injuries and six others sustained minor, unspecified injuries.

“We arrived at a complex and chaotic scene where a vehicle had struck multiple pedestrians,” said MDA paramedic Avi Cohen.

The pedestrians were standing near a bus stop at Karkur Junction, near Pardes Hana, when the car hit them.

“There were 10 injured and two others who suffered panic attacks. When we arrived, they were lying on the ground behind the bus stop. We immediately began administering medical treatment, stopping bleeding, bandaging, and immobilizing injuries. We then rushed them to Hillel Yafe Medical Center in Hadera in ambulances and MICUs,” said Cohen.
