MDA Declares One Dead, Treats Four Others In Haifa Stabbing Attack

Following a stabbing attack in Haifa, a large Magen David Adom team comprised of ambulances, MICUs, and Medicycles rushed to the scene to provide lifesaving medical treatment to four injured people.

Those injured in the terrorist attack at Haifa’s Lev HaMifratz central station included three people in serious condition, a man and a woman in their 30s and a 15-year-old boy, and a woman in her 70s in moderate condition. MDA teams transported the four injured patients to Rambam Medical Center after providing treatment at the scene. Sadly, MDA teams had to declare a 70-year-old man dead from his stab wounds. The terrorist was neutralized on the scene by a civilian.

“We arrived at the scene and encountered a very serious incident,” reflected MDA paramedic Ahmad Tuafshi.

“Several patients were lying on the ground, some unconscious with penetrating wounds. A man was unconscious, suffering from multiple stab wounds. We had to pronounce him dead at the scene. Nearby, a 70-year-old injured woman was walking toward us. We provided initial life-saving treatment, including bandaging, stopping severe bleeding, and immobilizing her on a backboard.”

Tuafshi continued, “we then began evacuating the injured to the hospital, each in varying degrees of injury.”
