Our friendship goes back 71 years, to the very beginning of Israel’s independence. In fact, the United States became the first country to recognize the State of Israel within hours of David Ben-Gurion’s announcement on May 14, 1948, Israel’s Independence Day.

Of all the countries of the Middle East, Israel alone shares a love for freedom and democracy with America.

Israel also supports the United States in many practical ways, including the sharing of their emergency medical knowledge and lifesaving technology.

Following the worst mass shootings in U.S. history, MAGEN DAVID ADOM sent a team to Florida to conduct seminars for Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, and Monroe County municipal EMTs and law-enforcement officials.
